Ocean, Deliver Me.

Hello all! It's Friday and today has been quite an odd week for me. I've been having ups and downs lately but so goes life. Luckily for me I have Florence + the Machine to help me through my week. On her 2011 album "Ceremonials" there's a track called "Never Let Me Go" that has been stuck in my head all week. Gets me through tough times. Anyway, Dan and I went to the lakes near by and because of the change in season and such, the sun is setting earlier everyday. I did not think this would approach so quickly. I felt like wearing something a little more boho and flowy and finally rocking my Seychelles I bought a few months ago for the fall. I love them so much! Well September is looking to be quite a busy month for me with my blog, school and potential job opportunities on the horizon. I am feeling a bit more positive and optimistic now that the week is over. How is your September feeling in your neck of the woods?

Outfit Details:
Floral Crop Top: Rue21
Vintage Paisley Pleated Midi Skirt: Thrifted
Shoes: Seychelles Ampersands
(I bought these from LastCall.com but they're no longer available on the website)
Vintage Floral Belt: Thrifted
Floral Purse: Target

While Dan and I were walking around the lake we made some friends. The ducks in this neighborhood are so friendly. I think its because they thought we had food but nonetheless they were so cute!

Here are the rest of my outfit details.

Plato's Closet: Style Remix

Hello! Today is my second week of Style Remix Wednesday. This outfit was chosen because I have worn this dress a bunch of times and did not know what to do with it. Truly it is more so one of my fall pieces because it is easier to layer in the cooler months. But since I am wearing my end of summer and pre-fall items I figured why not do a fall preview. They last time I wore this I wore opaque green tights with brown lace up boots, cardigan, a scarf and a knitted hat. This time around I chose to pair it with a sequined blouse worn beneath the dress with T-strap Mary Jane pumps for a more vintage feel. I feel that when wearing a classic vintage inspired ensemble, less is more. When accessorizing go for the bare minimum. Some rings and things, a small necklace or a head scarf(which I chose not to wear because I wanted to show off my faux beehive). Here are details from the rest of my outfit.

Outfit Details:
Salmon Chevron Rounded Collared Dress: Plato's Closet Greenway
Sequin Collared Blouse: Rue21
Squirrel Necklace: Handmade
T-Strap Mary Jane Pump: Mia Shoes via Plato's Closet Memorial City
Love Punch Belt: Thrifted
Rings and Things: Shasa
All Day Disco Sunnies: ModCloth

I also was lucky enough to plan out my day to capture the best lighting during the magic hour. To be honest my photo shoots with Dan are getting better and better every time we go out to shoot. I am so glad he is learning so quickly. As I am learning so many new things about the wonders of photoshop filters and text within frame. I feel like my work is becoming more professional and for that I am proud of my progress thus far. I can wait to dive in this semester with Illustrator and such. Here are the close up details of my outfit.

Sunday Friend Day: We Be Jammin'!

So yesterday my best friend Ashlee and I went to Starbucks and had a chat. It was lovely. The weather wasn't too bad and we got to take some fun photos together and she took my outfit photos! I must say I envy her camera. It was the most glorious photography I feel I have taken in a long time. I think I need a lens upgrade. Anyway, here is my Outfit.

Outfit Details:
Mint Lace Peter Pan Dress: Ross (Believe it or not!)
Love Punched Belt: Thrifted
Vintage Lavender Suede Loafers - Terry Lewis Classical Luxuries (Thrifted)
Head Scarf: LoveCulture
Squirrel-y Love Charm Necklace: Handmade
Floral Purse: Target :3
Rounded Sunnies: Rue 21
More Details below at the end of the photos.

So somehow Ashlee and I coordinated our outfits. We always unintentionally end up coordinating in colors. I feel like I could be 5,000 miles away from her and we would still end up wearing the same color scheme or matching in stylistic directions. We both have a distinct eclectic style which varies from time to time. Yet some how we stay on the same page. Anyway, we are thinking this will become a weekly thing for us. I look forward to some more funday in my Sundays.

Happy Monday!
