Hello Darlings! Happy Tuesday to you! Thanksgiving is only a week and one day away. How did it get here so quickly?! I have no idea. Anyway, Dan and I went out to grab a few photos at sunset before dinner. It was really breezy out. I am enjoying the cooler days. I finally get to wear long sleeve dresses. This houndstooth number is from Wholesale Dress. I was surprised that it actually fit. I was so worried it would be a let down but it fantastic. And it looks pretty chic. I do believe it will be my last purchase from them though. School life has been a bit busy. I have exams tomorrow and I am so frightened.  Keep your fingers crossed for me. I always get super nervous before the exam. I mean who doesn't? What projects/ deadlines are you working on these days? Do share and don't be shy! ;)

Hello Lovelies! Yesterday, Texas finally started feeling a bit more like the REAL November that I know and loved in New York City. COLD! A Nice, breezy, cold front rolled in during the late afternoon which caused me to reach for my peter pan collared baby doll swing coat! I love this coat with all my heart. I feel like a little fancy lady wearing it. Also, on Monday I received my brand spankin' new BonLook frames in the mail. I ordered La Marquise in Tortoise and I have a winner. I've never glasses ordered online and I was so surprised & pleased that my frames fit so well without an actual try on. Also I lucked out on one of their coupon deals and scored a pair of prescription frames for only $75 buckaroos. Free shipping! I am in love with them. My dearest approved them as well which is great since he had no idea what kind of frames I ordered. Anyway, I had a lovely Tuesday and am having a fantastic Wednesday. I have been gone a while so fill me in on what's shaking in your neck of the woods! Cheers to all!

***On a side note, I have been feeling quite a bit of Holiday cheer already. ;)

Rain, Rain Go Away

Hello! Its another rainy, cloudy, gloomy Sunday. Feels like painting and illustrating weather. I think I am just going to nest today. Also I am getting a cat today! A Devon rex breed. I have allergies and this is my first trial having a cat. I'm nervous, excited and all mixed up because it's new territory for me. I love cats so much and never was able to have them as a child because my mom has allergies too. So, I really hope this works out because lord knows how long I've wanted a cat. In other news, its been rainy all weekend. Yesterday, I woke up to a cloudy morning so, I took pictures from my garage. I didn't want to get caught out in the pouring rain. Surely enough, while I was shooting it really did start raining! Hard! Thank goodness I brought my umbrella down with me. In the pictures below you can see when it started raining and started coming down hard. 2 Ways to Wear Your Denim: Style Remix

Hello AGAIN! Today's remix is all about Denim. I got some nifty colored denim from Plato's Closet. (once my style secret) I wanted to remix it today and with the cooler temps I was able to. I paired it with a collared shirt and a vintage hawaiian print baby doll shift dress I got from Noirohio Vintage back in 2008. I love this print and this dress. I also got to rock my leopard print hat that I haven't worn in forever. I forget where I got that one. I am pretty sure I got it for Christmas or something of the sort.

So, your denim outfit doesn't always have to be a drab jeans and tee look. I am always looking for new ways to wear my closet favorites. You can dress up your denim and look fab in no time! Just find your favorite denim and a few of your favorite dresses then, match them together and voile! New outfit!

On another note I just got home from a lovely dinner with my darling. We went to get pho at our local vietnamese noodle house. Delish! It is always a good choice. Fast Service and delicious food for a great price. Here are the rest of my oufit photos and dinner date pictures.

Finally, I have officially received my grants for my last semesters in college! Yay! I'm almost done and I couldn't be happier! Hence, the picture below. ;)

Style Remix: Cool Down

Hello! It's Style Remix Wednesday! Today's post is about being fall ready! Now in most areas the weather is already cool enough to layer. But the South is fighting back the cold. So, one must persevere and switch up the tones. I have previously touched on how to fall up an outfit in an older post. But here is how I am doing it. This floral number was a Plato's closet find in the summer. Its a strapless dress. I normally don't go for any fabric splicing but this dress meshes it well. I wore this dress a few times this summer without a cardigan and with wedges.

The mustard color can go year round which is why I love it for my wardrobe. Texas only has two seasons: Unbearably HOT and cool. So, my choices pretty much have to be light materials, no lining and seasonal color patterns to flow with the changing seasons of elsewhere, US. I paired the dress with a fuchsia/plum cardigan, electric blue head scarf, belt and blue boots. The sunnies I am wearing were an awesome find at my local Big Lots. I was utterly shocked to see THIS style on the rack at check out while purchasing a new mattress with Dan. I had to pick them up! They were only $5!! I am so happy with them, definitely a new favorite.  In other news, I had a pretty productive day with Dan, running errands and taking care of business while still having some time to stop and share this look with you all. Showboat Drive-In: It's Intermission Time

For almost a year I have been itching to drive out to this Drive in movie theater in the countryside. I've never been to one and want to experience it before they're all torn down and all we have are memories of it. So, my one request of my boyfriend this year was to ensure that on my birthday night we go to the movies. Lucky for me Riddick just came out so I had an extra boost at convincing him to take me. We had a quiet dinner at home. We cooked tuna steak on mix greens salad with spinach and ginger dressing. YUM!!! The weather was perfect and gorgeous! We got to take pictures before the sunset. I wore this beautiful 60's vintage dress that I got from Fancytreehouse ages ago online. I haven't been able to fit the bust because of my weight. But, to my surprise the week of my birthday I tried it on and it FIT!!!! It was truly meant to be. All of it. It was like a dream. I had great fun. Also yesterday, Dan's parents took us out for sushi! We had fun chatting about silly stories, playing with all of his mom's cat's and laughed. They got me a Hello Kitty plushy and some new cateye frames that I am dying to wear this fall. I fell in love with them immediately. I am so stoked.
