Casual Monday

Happy Monday ya'll! Today I met up with my bestest buddy of 8 years Ashlee for some Starbucks.(can you believe that?) I had the lovely new Chocolate Chai Tea Latte Iced and boy was it delicious! We talked for a while about girly stuff, boys, relationships, clothing, fall fashion and future endeavors. We took pictures and after today's rain the was a rainbow at sunset. It was awesome! To be completely honest here I don't think there's a female on the planet who gets me like she does. We are literally like sisters at this point. Anyway, we became friends in college years ago and we share some great memories together and I am sure we have many more (probably even better than the last 8 years)to come. On another note, I have two things I'd like to share about this outfit post!
One: These pants are a size 4. SIZE 4!!! OH ME OH MY! I have not been this size in about 5 years and I am so glad I am back to my normal healthy weight.
Two: I am headed to a wicked concert tomorrow and can't wait to share my adventure with you guys when I get back. (The secret will be revealed in 2 days :P)
Alas, I say, Happy 8 years Best Friend! :D

Sunday Friend Day: We Be Jammin'!

So yesterday my best friend Ashlee and I went to Starbucks and had a chat. It was lovely. The weather wasn't too bad and we got to take some fun photos together and she took my outfit photos! I must say I envy her camera. It was the most glorious photography I feel I have taken in a long time. I think I need a lens upgrade. Anyway, here is my Outfit.

So somehow Ashlee and I coordinated our outfits. We always unintentionally end up coordinating in colors. I feel like I could be 5,000 miles away from her and we would still end up wearing the same color scheme or matching in stylistic directions. We both have a distinct eclectic style which varies from time to time. Yet some how we stay on the same page. Anyway, we are thinking this will become a weekly thing for us. I look forward to some more funday in my Sundays.

Liebster Award: I Was Nominated!

Hello!! I was nomimated by the lovely Bianca of The Impossibly Cute, a lifestyle blog.
I am so honored to take part in this, as I have been noticing many undiscovered bloggers, artists and craft junkies who are truly talented and one of a kind.

So for those of you who don't know what the Liebster Award is, basically it's a blog award that recognizes talented but unknown blogs. The goal is to help promote blogs with under 200 followers. This is a way for people to discover new unique and eclectic blogs while generating a larger network for bloggers. Basically everybody wins!

Here are Bianca's Questions for me!

1. What is the one beauty product you could not live without?

Well, you would figure I would say something like MAC finishing touch HD Foundation or something but actually its a facial cleanser. Both are ideal and I cannot live with out Mary Kay 3-in-1 cleanser and my Moisturizer. It cleans well and leaves my pores looking and feeling smoother. I have a blackhead problem(don't we all at some point) and I hate when my pores look or feel huge because it affects my photos.

2. What inspired you to start blogging?

I realized when I moved to Houston that I was in a bit of a fashion rut. I hadn't moved past my early college jeans and t-shirt days. So my good friend and I went on a fashion revamp for a year or so and before you know it I had all these wonderful pieces that no one could see and a blog was born.

3.Favorite online clothing store?

Hmm, at the moment I would say Sammydress.com or Ruche.com. They have so many pieces I want and some I already own.

4. What is the first blog you ever read?

Well, I can't remember exactly but I believe it was Keiko Lynn's Blog. She was one of the first inspirations in my starting my blog. But all in all Coury of Fancy Treehouse and Annika of The Pineneedle Collective became my go to gals.

5. What songs are you currently obsessed with?

David Bowie's Wild is The Wind. I have had Station to Station on frickin repeat for over a month. And I am still not sick of it yet. :D

6. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you most like to go?

Japan, I have been missing that place since I left in 2004. I cried like a baby because i didn't want to leave and to be honest if I go again I may never come back ahahahah!

7. Would you rather read a book or a magazine?

I think a good book would be best. Magazines don't hold my attention very long. I end up just looking at the pictures and not reading the articles.

8. What is your favorite drink to order at Starbucks?

Oh my god! Hot:Grande Hazelnut Macchiato extra shot w/ soy & Cold/Frap: Tall Java Chip with 2 pumps Hazelnut and an extra shot w/soy. I love my Starbucks. I've been leaning on my Keurig these days though. :(

9. Do you own any pets?

Yes!!! His name is Baragon(from the Godzilla/Toho movies), a bearded dragon who likes to eat squash and his crunchy treats from my hand instead of his bowl. He is so spoiled. :D

10. What is one of your biggest pet peeves?

Spitting, and by spitting I mean the hacking of a large loogie. GROSS!

Few Days Hiatus

Hello! I apologize for the hiatus for the past few days. Both of my photographers chose this weekend to go out of town and I have been experiencing pain from my wisdom teeth. However, while laying in bed looking at pictures, I have realized there are many photos I haven't posted on my blog from last summer. So here they are for your viewing pleasure.
