Casual Monday

Happy Monday ya'll! Today I met up with my bestest buddy of 8 years Ashlee for some Starbucks.(can you believe that?) I had the lovely new Chocolate Chai Tea Latte Iced and boy was it delicious! We talked for a while about girly stuff, boys, relationships, clothing, fall fashion and future endeavors. We took pictures and after today's rain the was a rainbow at sunset. It was awesome! To be completely honest here I don't think there's a female on the planet who gets me like she does. We are literally like sisters at this point. Anyway, we became friends in college years ago and we share some great memories together and I am sure we have many more (probably even better than the last 8 years)to come. On another note, I have two things I'd like to share about this outfit post!
One: These pants are a size 4. SIZE 4!!! OH ME OH MY! I have not been this size in about 5 years and I am so glad I am back to my normal healthy weight.
Two: I am headed to a wicked concert tomorrow and can't wait to share my adventure with you guys when I get back. (The secret will be revealed in 2 days :P)
Alas, I say, Happy 8 years Best Friend! :D

Flashback:2012

I came across this picture from last Thanksgiving and I really don't look it in this picture but I was about 165-170 lbs. I can't even believe I lost that much weight. Anyway, I loved that darn dress so much but its huge on me now. :[ I will miss it but it needs a new home. I just listed it on Threadflip.com for $27. But for a limited time you can buy it from me personally via paypal and I can lower the price for my readers who are interested. Shipping is about 5 bucks usually so I don't mind lowering a little bit. Besides I like you guys. Enjoy your weekend and Happy Shopping!

Ocean, Deliver Me.

Hello all! It's Friday and today has been quite an odd week for me. I've been having ups and downs lately but so goes life. Luckily for me I have Florence + the Machine to help me through my week. On her 2011 album "Ceremonials" there's a track called "Never Let Me Go" that has been stuck in my head all week. Gets me through tough times. Anyway, Dan and I went to the lakes near by and because of the change in season and such, the sun is setting earlier everyday. I did not think this would approach so quickly. I felt like wearing something a little more boho and flowy and finally rocking my Seychelles I bought a few months ago for the fall. I love them so much! Well September is looking to be quite a busy month for me with my blog, school and potential job opportunities on the horizon. I am feeling a bit more positive and optimistic now that the week is over. How is your September feeling in your neck of the woods?

Outfit Details:

Vintage Paisley Pleated Midi Skirt: Thrifted
Shoes: Seychelles Ampersands
(I bought these from LastCall.com but they're no longer available on the website)

While Dan and I were walking around the lake we made some friends. The ducks in this neighborhood are so friendly. I think its because they thought we had food but nonetheless they were so cute!

Plato's Closet: New Pre-Fall Threads

Hello! Today was a busy day for me but all in all pretty good. I chose to show off my girlier side and wear eyeshadow, blush and lipstick.( No Foundation :D) Tonight, the sun set just a little earlier and the evening is starting to feel a little bit cooler. (Despite the fact that today was hot as blazes!) Any woot, today I bring to you a different side of my style.

Fall is a romantic season to me. I have always loved its magical touch. The cool autumn breezes and brisk nights call for delicate layers. But it is still too hot in Texas for layers so I settle for layered light materials. I stopped in Plato's Closet last night and picked up a few new fall threads which I shared on Instagram. Here is my first fall newbie. This piece is very dainty and sweet. It has tulle at the bottom of the lining that peeks out under the skirt half. I pretty much melted when I tried it on. This neutral color can be worn all year round and is versatile. You can pair it with tights, ankle boots and a thick knit cardigan or a sweet baby doll swing coat, tights, mary jane pumps and a chunky scarf to keep you warm later in the fall season. Or like in this post wear it in the cooler parts of spring/summer with wedges or a peeptoe flat. I am truly in love with this dress and cannot wait to remix it later on in the fall. Hurry in to your nearest Plato's Closet to find yourself some cutesy fall pieces.
**Remember neutrals and darker colors can go a long way this fall. Happy Wednesday!
