Hello From My Hectic Life USA!

Long time no see me? Yes, indeed I have been away far too long. Of course there is a very valid reason. LIFE! Back in the summer of 2013 I was just starting back to school and looking for work. Once I started working at Urban Outfitters, it became increasingly difficult to maintain my blog along with school and other life issues that were first priority. The Holidays were exciting and oh so eventful! I got to meet Dan's wonderful extended family and enjoy some time with my dad on Christmas Day. After the holidays I had some decision making to do.

Now, in the new year I am finally attending school FULL TIME! Its been a while. I have been a part time student for about 2 years and for this last stretch I've decided to tackle my remaining classes to graduate on time. So, I parted ways with Urban ( :'''''''( oh how I miss my discount!) and started studying hard. Today, campuses were closed due to inclement weather but it was so cold I did not even both taking any pictures. Any woo, I am alive and well and I have not disappeared! I'm still kicking! If you would like to continue keeping up with me follow along on Instagram. It is the easiest and most convenient way to stay social without taking too much time away from my studies. Maybe once, I get situated with my course loads (and it warms up) I will do my very best to share some new outfits with you ladies!

In other news my wardrobe has changed quite a bit! From last year until now I have been on a journey of getting into the best shape of my life! I do not strive to "be skinny" but to be healthy and fabulous. My usual time allotted for this blog has been replaced with hitting the gym 4-5 days a week. I have been going regularly since September and have made serious gains since starting my strength training one month ago. I just might be able to finally lose the tiny amount of "extra love" around my tummy. :D

College Midterms = (MIA)

Hello readers! I have been MIA lately because of midterm week. I had a major test last week and I have 2 design projects in queue, along with three 3-paged article critiques due next week. Also, I have a side design project requested this week. So, I have had my hands full. This weekend was my best friend's birthday and halloween party with Dan and his family. All was well but now I have to get to work. Here are a few photos from the past week/weekend. Toodles!

Like A Leaf Clings To The Trees

Hello all! Today I am sharing again my art work and work progress. My Illustrator work will be shared in the new week. Below are some pen and ink illustrations and watercolor works. I have been messing around with mixed media and learning how to think outside of the box. It is so fun! Life right now is improving on all fronts and I feel like I am finally moving forward again. Here are a few of my works.



And here are a few snaps of what I've been cooking and eating lately! Dan and I have become creative in the kitchen. We made Okonomiyaki(Japanese egg pizza), Chicken Pesto pasta dish for dinner a few weeks ago, and I've treated myself to some indulgent sweets because I deserve it. I have been working out so hard that a treat is needed. I baked those chocolate peanut butter cup cookies and had Kemp's Moose Track Yogurt Ice Cream last night. Delish! :D

I just have to stop here and drool again! He is so dashing and quite a handsome fellow. I am the luckiest girl and get to wake up next to this face everyday! <3

A Spider Lurking in the Night...

Hello All! I have been a bit MIA because of school and other things that have been more imperative to my well being. I love blogging and sharing things with you all but my life has become a bit unorganized. So I took some time off to get back to work on assignments and personal affairs that have long needed my tender love and care. But I would like to share with you my growing love for illustration.

 I find that illustration with different mediums are quite the stress reliever for me. I have been working with pen, ink and watercolor. Although, these works were assignments, my professor did not specify what to draw how to draw it or what technique to use. Her words of choice were, "PLAY WITH IT!" And I feel that it truly challenges you to think outside of the box and try different techniques you've never tried. It also ties into my Adobe Illustrator class. Things I create on paper can and have inspired things I create for the web. I am really pleased and grateful that I chose to take these courses this semester because it is that special something that will define my work and set me aside from the rest of my competitors when I get into my field when I graduate. Here are a few of my works and what I've been up to. What inspires you?!

These are some of the gifts I received for my birthday from Dan and his parents. I fell in love with those cateye frames and cannot wait to wear them!

These gifts are from my bestest friend in the world Ashlee Elle! She crocheted the belt, bow and headband from scratch. She is so talented! You should check out her shop HERE! That romper is vintage and AMAZING! It was only $8. Can you believe that? She gifted me that on my birthday. Love her!

 And these are photos from birthday and birthday night with Ashlee and also with le boyfriend. Dan and I watched a crazy 60s japanese film with Sonny Chiba in a wicked role as an expert samurai swordsman. The Fall of Ako Castle is the name. Check it out if you have time.



And last but certainly not least, BARAGON! My bearded dragon friend! He is such a cutie pie and is so sweet to me. He has been really hamming it up lately with me. Maybe its the warm baths and change in his diet but his beard and mood have been less lethargic and more energetic.
