3 Ways to Rock Your Frock: Style Remix

Hello Readers! This week has been crazy busy! I have been job hunting(which ended successfully :]), completing illustrator projects (which I will share in another post next week), and getting organized.
Today, I am sharing with you my love for this Forever 21 dress and a Lauren Conrad find from Plato's closet. I start with the Forever 21 dress. It's a pretty simple outfit. Hat Sunnies, dress, tights and booties. An easy, comfy, girly outfit on the go.
Next, Throw on a printed cardigan. It's still fairly simple and fun but a little more funky. I chose this coldwater creek cardy I thrifted many moons ago and it is one of my absolute favorite items to wear this fall.

Last is look Number 3! Dress on Dress. I think it is pretty wise especially in the colder states to layer up. Texas is getting really cool outside, almost like east coast weather and I couldn't be happier! I paired my LC dress with My Forever 21 dress with a cardigan and belted it! I personally enjoy this look. Its a print mixing and matching dream! You can also layer this look with some chunky knit socks to fully complete a warm and fuzzy, yet chic look without going too crazy with color. Although, I think the more color THE BETTER!
HERE ARE ALL THE OUTFIT DETAILS ALONG WITH A PHOTO OF MY FAVORITE PHOTOGRAPHER AND I. HAPPY FRIDAY AND HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

2 Ways to Wear Your Denim: Style Remix

Hello AGAIN! Today's remix is all about Denim. I got some nifty colored denim from Plato's Closet. (once my style secret) I wanted to remix it today and with the cooler temps I was able to. I paired it with a collared shirt and a vintage hawaiian print baby doll shift dress I got from Noirohio Vintage back in 2008. I love this print and this dress. I also got to rock my leopard print hat that I haven't worn in forever. I forget where I got that one. I am pretty sure I got it for Christmas or something of the sort.
-Here's how I wore it in a September Blog Post with an orange cardigan, floral shirt and boots.-
-And here is how I wore it today!-
Vintage Hawaiian Print Shift Dress: Noirohio Vintage
Peachy Polka Crop Top: Rue 21
Levi's Cigarette Denim: Plato's Closet @ Greenway Plaza
Belt: Thrifted
Suede Ankle Boots: Target

So, your denim outfit doesn't always have to be a drab jeans and tee look. I am always looking for new ways to wear my closet favorites. You can dress up your denim and look fab in no time! Just find your favorite denim and a few of your favorite dresses then, match them together and voile! New outfit!

On another note I just got home from a lovely dinner with my darling. We went to get pho at our local vietnamese noodle house. Delish! It is always a good choice. Fast Service and delicious food for a great price. Here are the rest of my oufit photos and dinner date pictures.
Happy Wednesday!
Finally, I have officially received my grants for my last semesters in college! Yay! I'm almost done and I couldn't be happier! Hence, the picture below. ;)

A Spider Lurking in the Night...

Hello All! I have been a bit MIA because of school and other things that have been more imperative to my well being. I love blogging and sharing things with you all but my life has become a bit unorganized. So I took some time off to get back to work on assignments and personal affairs that have long needed my tender love and care. But I would like to share with you my growing love for illustration.

I find that illustration with different mediums are quite the stress reliever for me. I have been working with pen, ink and watercolor. Although, these works were assignments, my professor did not specify what to draw how to draw it or what technique to use. Her words of choice were, "PLAY WITH IT!" And I feel that it truly challenges you to think outside of the box and try different techniques you've never tried. It also ties into my Adobe Illustrator class. Things I create on paper can and have inspired things I create for the web. I am really pleased and grateful that I chose to take these courses this semester because it is that special something that will define my work and set me aside from the rest of my competitors when I get into my field when I graduate. Here are a few of my works and what I've been up to. What inspires you?!

These are some of the gifts I received for my birthday from Dan and his parents. I fell in love with those cateye frames and cannot wait to wear them!
These gifts are from my bestest friend in the world Ashlee Elle! She crocheted the belt, bow and headband from scratch. She is so talented! You should check out her shop HERE! That romper is vintage and AMAZING! It was only $8. Can you believe that? She gifted me that on my birthday. Love her!

And these are photos from birthday and birthday night with Ashlee and also with le boyfriend. Dan and I watched a crazy 60s japanese film with Sonny Chiba in a wicked role as an expert samurai swordsman. The Fall of Ako Castle is the name. Check it out if you have time.

And last but certainly not least, BARAGON! My bearded dragon friend! He is such a cutie pie and is so sweet to me. He has been really hamming it up lately with me. Maybe its the warm baths and change in his diet but his beard and mood have been less lethargic and more energetic. I love the little guy! <3 If you are still reading at this point I thank you for reading. Hope you had a lovely Tuesday!

Showboat Drive-In: It's Intermission Time

For almost a year I have been itching to drive out to this Drive in movie theater in the countryside. I've never been to one and want to experience it before they're all torn down and all we have are memories of it. So, my one request of my boyfriend this year was to ensure that on my birthday night we go to the movies. Lucky for me Riddick just came out so I had an extra boost at convincing him to take me. We had a quiet dinner at home. We cooked tuna steak on mix greens salad with spinach and ginger dressing. YUM!!! The weather was perfect and gorgeous! We got to take pictures before the sunset. I wore this beautiful 60's vintage dress that I got from Fancytreehouse ages ago online. I haven't been able to fit the bust because of my weight. But, to my surprise the week of my birthday I tried it on and it FIT!!!! It was truly meant to be. All of it. It was like a dream. I had great fun. Also yesterday, Dan's parents took us out for sushi! We had fun chatting about silly stories, playing with all of his mom's cat's and laughed. They got me a Hello Kitty plushy and some new cateye frames that I am dying to wear this fall. I fell in love with them immediately. I am so stoked. Anyway, I hope you lovelies had a wonderful weekend. What adventures did you go on this weekend?

Twenty-Five Years.

Hello all! Yesterday I turned 25 years old. Quite a milestone for me. I have changed so much over the years and I feel it has been for the better. I've become a little bit wiser, stronger, and driven to build my own happiness through hard work and enjoying my life to the fullest. I am so lucky to have wonderful people in my life who care about me and look out for me. My best friend and I went on a thrifting excursion and enjoyed our undeniable love for PUMPKIN MUFFINS!! This has been a tradition of ours for as long as we have been friends.(And that's a long time) She got me the cutest romper ever(pictured on instagram), and some handmade crochet accessories. I find that over the years we have become increasingly picky with our choices while thrifting. It's a blessing and a curse. Sometimes we don't find anything at all and other times we find golden treasures to add to our collections. I had a blast. I also got to experience my first drive in movie theater experience and that will be on the blog tomorrow. Ashlee posted an old picture from back in 2008 when we saw Eisley live in Philly.
What a flashback! I look so different yet I look the same. Back in that time I would not be caught dead in a dress and now I have no idea how many dresses I have. I guess its all part of growing up! What's your favorite birthday memory?
