Style Tip: Being Bold, In the Cold.

Hello there. Not too much to say today except. BE BOLD! No matter how chilly the weather, I am always up for being bold. I know the season change but I love mint, neon pink and bright colors in the fall. I scored this lovely high-low sleeveless dress at Plato's Closet for ten bucks!  I wasn't sure at first how I would work this thing. Once I got it home though I knew it would work out. Sometimes when out thrifting or just shopping, making one bold choice for a focal piece can make the outfit. If you aren't comfortable doing it up like this, choose a statement piece like an intricate necklace, bright colored scarf, or a patterned heel. What ever suits you. It was freezing outside when these were taken. The temperature was dropping by the minute. By the time we left I was shivering into my coat.

I took this one because this was such a beautiful flower. I couldn't leave without snapping one.

What We Wore

Hello!! Its been a long 2 weeks. Midterms are over and I am now looking ahead to Finals and the next semester. I started a new job and have been called in a few days so, I have not been as active. I will try to be better about posting. If I am inactive on here feel free to follow me on instagram or twitter. I have been better about posting on there when I am not active on blogger. Any whoot! Dan and I were heading to Pet Smart on Sunday to grab our beardie a better heat lamp. Turns out its keeping him warmer. Yay! We took some pictures together. His were cooler than mine because of the hour we went out there. You can't ever guess how the lighting will be in the evenings now. I am so thrown off by the time change. (Yes even after a week, I am not adjusted.) Hope all is well with you lovelies. I will be sharing my midterm artwork this week for sure.

Like A Leaf Clings To The Trees

Hello all! Today I am sharing again my art work and work progress. My Illustrator work will be shared in the new week. Below are some pen and ink illustrations and watercolor works. I have been messing around with mixed media and learning how to think outside of the box. It is so fun! Life right now is improving on all fronts and I feel like I am finally moving forward again. Here are a few of my works.



And here are a few snaps of what I've been cooking and eating lately! Dan and I have become creative in the kitchen. We made Okonomiyaki(Japanese egg pizza), Chicken Pesto pasta dish for dinner a few weeks ago, and I've treated myself to some indulgent sweets because I deserve it. I have been working out so hard that a treat is needed. I baked those chocolate peanut butter cup cookies and had Kemp's Moose Track Yogurt Ice Cream last night. Delish! :D

I just have to stop here and drool again! He is so dashing and quite a handsome fellow. I am the luckiest girl and get to wake up next to this face everyday! <3

Rain, Rain Go Away

Hello! Its another rainy, cloudy, gloomy Sunday. Feels like painting and illustrating weather. I think I am just going to nest today. Also I am getting a cat today! A Devon rex breed. I have allergies and this is my first trial having a cat. I'm nervous, excited and all mixed up because it's new territory for me. I love cats so much and never was able to have them as a child because my mom has allergies too. So, I really hope this works out because lord knows how long I've wanted a cat. In other news, its been rainy all weekend. Yesterday, I woke up to a cloudy morning so, I took pictures from my garage. I didn't want to get caught out in the pouring rain. Surely enough, while I was shooting it really did start raining! Hard! Thank goodness I brought my umbrella down with me. In the pictures below you can see when it started raining and started coming down hard.
