Fanciful Friday

Hello! Today, I have been getting myself ready for classes on Monday and such. To be honest looking towards my future scares me. I have been at this for so long and I am ready for my journey to be over and start my career as a graphic/web designer. My boyfriend and I discussed a ton of stuff about how we will tackle our dreams and futures together. This really makes me happy that we will work together to make our dreams reality. And there's nothing better than knowing the one you love will be at your side and not just leave you in the dust when times get tough. Anyway, here is a "later-blog" post of an outfit I wore this week. I went for an end of summer look a bit simpler than my usual attire. It was soo hot and I was ready to go get some food so I threw this on with some gladiators.

Back to Black

I've been seeing all these back to school blog posts and I start classes next Monday so I guess this is appropriate. I miss Amy Winehouse and this dress made me think of her. :'[

This outfit was almost completely thrifted. My blouse was a find from this lovely lady from my old job named Janis. She did not want this shirt anymore as it was too big for her but I loved this print and the oversizing wasn't an issue. So I got it from her for FREE! :D The dress and boots were thrifted as well. My hat is from Target and sunnies from LoveCulture. Below are the rest of my details from this outfit.

Plato's Closet: STYLE REMIX

Hello readers! This week I was granted a lovely opportunity to work on a Style Remix project with Plato's Closet! I have been an avid Plato's customer for years now and I am so happy and honored to work with them. I will be posting Style Remixes weekly along with style tips for the coming Fall season. Here's what I wore.

I have had this dress for almost a year and even did a blog post a couple months back about it. I kept thinking how can I revamp this beauty before summer is over. I paired it with the same shoes and headscarf. However, I added this lovely Sailboat Printed Chambray top from Rue 21, a thrifted braided belt I got at Goodwill for $2, my red cat-eye sunnies from LoveCulture and a thrifted neutral satchel I got at Goodwill for $5.
And Voile! A Sweet and stylish day-time number that I can go shopping in, go for a walk in the park (literally, I went for a walk in this outfit) or to a lovely coffee date in.

In other news, I went for a stroll with Dan last evening and as we were heading back to our apartment we came across a sprinkler maze. That's right I said sprinklers. I was totally not prepared to get soaked from head to to in the outfit I was wearing. We decided that it couldn't be that hard to avoid the sprinklers, just think of it like a video game and wait till the right moment. Oh Boy were we wrong! I got soaked, screamed for my life and laughed almost all the way home with my honey! :D It was super cheesy, almost like something in a romantic comedy of sorts.
